MY STORY
Hello! So glad to have you here. Let me start by introducing myself -
I'm a singer-songwriter, educator and entrepreneur from Jaipur, India. I sing, write and create independent music, help musicians grow through my venture, Udukku and educate young minds at Ascend Now.
Here's a little bit about what I do and how it all came to be :)
SINGING/SONGWRITING
My passion for music began when I was 13 years old when my Dad bought me an Avril Lavigne CD album that I just could not stop singing along to. This event made me realize my singing potential and from that point on, I participated in an endless amount of competitions, bagged prizes and certifications such as the RSL Western Vocal Grade 8, RSL Grade 4 Music Production and Trinity Western Classical Grade 6 to acquire experience and technical knowledge of music. Gradually, performing on stages became my favourite thing!
Today, I have started creating my own songs, lyrics and melodies and my goal while writing is always been to symbolize truth and authenticity through raw yet poetic lyrics. Most importantly, writing songs that shine a light on my story.
UDUKKU/ ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Before I discovered music, I had a keen interest in Maths and Science, which led me to pursue Computer Science Engineering and Cognitive Neuroscience whilst at University. So, I went on to blend the two fields and write my thesis in Music Cognition. This period in my life transformed "my desire to create music" into a "yearning to make music a field as important as a doctor, engineer or lawyer". This led me to create "Udukku - a music marketplace for music professionals to get hired online for their talents.
So, when I’m not making music, I spend my time building Udukku and teaching entrepreneurship at Ascend Now, helping students build their own businesses from scratch. The focus and investment I have in my students' success is a true testament to the dedication and passion I have for my work.
